Bio
Milja Saarnio is a researcher at Tampere University. She coordinates the research project "National Assessment of Learning to Learn 2024", and is a trainer in the in-service training for teachers "ELOA - Integrity and transversal competences in teaching and assessment". Milja graduated as a classroom teacher in summer 2020 and started her PhD studies in August 2021. In her dissertation, she investigates how the learning attitudes of students with different learning beliefs should be supported in the classroom, especially through teacher feedback. She is also interested in primary schools more generally, in the transversal competences taught there, and in changing trends in learning outcomes nationwide.
