Bio
Jenni Salminen works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Jyväskylä and is part of the research group of the HyMy project, which is led by the University of Tampere.
The interaction between teacher and children in early childhood education and basic education is at the heart of Jenni's research. She is particularly interested in how the features and quality of teacher-child interaction are linked to children's learning, development and well-being, and how the characteristics and experiences of the teachers may shape the interaction in the child groups. She is also interested in the interaction between parents and children, and has studied the associations between home environment and children's development and learning.
